Munich 2023

The start of December had a winter trip planned to Munich and then a train across to Salzburg, Austria for the Krampus Run. The Krampus run was the main point of the trip after Blake had raved about it a few years ago but unfortunately the snowy weather had other plans for us.

We landed in Munich to a lovely white snowy city. The snow continued to fall the next 24hrs, dropping about 45cm of snow which effectively shut Munich down for the next 5 days. No trains, no public transport, no flights. We made the most of our time there but eating and drinking our way across the city and playing in the pristine white snow. We’ll have to book another trip in the future to get back to Austria to see the Krampus run.
