After Norway was cut short, Blake and I spent a day in London, eating Bao Buns in Soho and enjoying the sun before heading to the airport and making our way to Rome, Italy. The weather was vastly different to when we left Norway with +30°C days and sunshine. We walked around the city every day, clocking up as many kilometres as we did while hiking the mountains in Norway. The Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican City and Piazza Navona were some of the big name sights we walked around with many more stumbled across during our wanderings. Pizza, pasta, arancini balls, fried zucchini flowers, gelato, milkshakes and tiramisu were some of the amazing foods we tried along the way, accompanied by plenty of glasses of house red wine. We also met up with Pat and Tara on the end of their topdeck tour and had a great evening eating and exploring with them while Pat told us hilarious stories of their travels and interesting educational tales of Italy and the Romans.
