Greece – Meteora Monasteries, Delphi and Athens

From Santorini Megan and I took an overnight ferry on the 5th of October to Athens where we got a hire car and drove to Meteora. We spent the night in Meteora watching the sunset over the valley and monasteries. The next day we visited some of the monasteries before taking off to Litochoro.

Litochoro is where we made our base to climb Mount Olympus. After two days scaling the peaks and enjoying the incredible weather we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch before driving to Delphi.

The next day we visited the ruins of Delphi and then made our way to Athens.

Three days in Athens included seeing a night flamenco performance in Herodes Theatre which is part of the Parthenon, visiting the Acropolis and surrounding historical sights, eating as many giros as possible and just generally having a merry time to end what has been a fantastic trip to Greece.
