Canada – Marmot Basin

Two mates organised for us to head the 2.5hrs up the Icefield Parkway and into Jasper to board at Marmot Basin Resort. We roped in some others to come along for the fun and so two cars left to arrive for a bluebird powder morning.

A day of awesome boarding ensued, including drops and jumps and one very hard hike to the peak. Beers and burgers for lunch and then an afternoon with less than ideal visibility capped off the day at the resort.

The drive home and sunset along the Parkway was amazing. We even came across a couple of mini avalanches that half covered the road.

Top of Marmot.
Everyone (minus Sass and Hannah) for a photo after the long hike up.
