Andrew and still here and I’m still between jobs so I have taken advantage of the company and we’ve had a bunch of adventures.

Snowboarding has occupied most of our time with some fantastic days on the mountain. Lots of days having fun on the mountain here but also a day spent on a road trip to Sunshine Resort outside Banff with Andrew and my housemate Sam. A very spread out chairlift setup and mellow groomed runs made us get creative and do some hiking for fresh turns and tree runs. Included were a few narrow gully runs with lots of trees and drops. Needless to say we were all a bit stiff the next day.

A 10km return hike out to the lake along the cross-country skiing track was also kept us busy and a joint ski lesson where we got off the bunny hill and hit the actual mountain, tackling a couple of green runs.

Many people did 9 beers, 9 lifts on Australia day but Andrew and I opted for a slightly more sedate option where we snowboarded without the beers and then drank too much in the afternoon/night. Good times had by all.
