Canada – PEI + Cape Breton

Big wilderness landscapes and rugged coastlines dominated the last week with lots and lots of driving.

After leaving Tadoussac we headed down to Fredericton and then Moncton before crossing over for a couple of days on Prince Edward Island (PEI). After PEI we moved on to Cape Breton for some time in nature.

Some highlights were amazing seafood, our first up close wild moose encounter, stunning scenery while hiking, freezing skinny dipping, mountain top nudity, 9m tides, beaver dams and a delicious milkshake from Cows ice creamery.

I also Googled how to make moose mating calls and so have been practising in the car. I’m sure next time I’m in the forest my totally un-annoying and realistic sounding moose calls will attract lots of them!

Oh the boats.
Oh captain my captain.
Testing the water.
Massive tide changes.
Amazing views even while driving.
Our first moose sighting.
Taking in the scenery.
The red seats.
Hiking in the fog.
A quick dip to wash off.
